HAWAI‘I ISLAND MIDWEEK 7
Quiet Quitting
“Quiet quitting” is a term and a trend that has emerged recently, and is embraced by some of the younger generation. It means that one does the bare mini- mum of what the job requires, no more and no less. Our genera- tion’s work ethic is to do more than is asked of us. Though you might not see quiet quitting as relating to you, are you, in some way, consciously or unconsciously, “quiet quitting” on yourself? Have you stopped being curious and trying new things, or stopped looking to learn, grow and expand? I have seen many whose spirits have basically resigned. Though life is not easy, it is resplendent in myriad ways. Make the effort to keep awe, curiosity and wonder an intrinsic part of living. Let’s not ever
quiet quit on ourselves.
