 • 7-by-10-inch cardstock, for card base
• scoring board (No. 30195075)
• paper trimmer (No. 30174692) • embellishments (stamped
images, stickers, cardstock for
layering, buttons, etc.)
• double-stick tape (No. 30013284) • Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky
Glue(No.30172710)
• scissors
• 5-by-7-inch card envelope
Note: If using printed cardstock, keep in mind the direction of the print and how it will appear on the final card design.
This 5-by-7-inch card size gives you room to add a small pocket behind theleft3-inchsection— perfectfor a gift card.
I figured out the mea- surements to make it a little larger than the standard card so that there’s room for em- bellishments. Plus, with the larger side panel, you can construct a small pocket for the inside that could hold a gift card.
Why not give it a try? I, for one, believe every day can be World Cardmaking Day and what better time to start than the fun month I call Craft-ober?

But a lot of these cards are really easy to make once you’ ve completed one or two.
But best of all, this is a card that can be propped up and displayed for all to enjoy. Sometimes I put a small photo on the side panel. This is great card to make for all kinds of cele- brations, from holidays to birthdays and more.
1 Place the cardstock onto the paper trimmer with the 7-inch edge along the top. Line up the left
edge at the 3-inch mark. Place the trimmer blade at the 11/4-inch mark on the cutting guide, cut to the 7 3/4- inch mark, creating a slit.

2 Place the cardstock onto the scoring board with the 10-inch
edge along the top and the 4-inch section topside.
The first and last lines to score match where the slit starts and ends. Align the cardstock to match and score at the following inch marks:
1 1/4, 2 1/2, 4, 5 1/2 and 7 3/4.
