Comedian Jeff Dunham will be at Caesars Palace on Oct. 17 and Nov. 14. Then, actor and comedian Rob Schnei- der has scheduled two shows at Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club on Dec. 30.

Hundreds of former Hawai‘i resi- dents, along with Vegas locals, came out to support the small businesses and enjoy the free entertainment. From hula to island music, local dishes to island-in- spired crafts, Water Street Plaza was transformed into what felt like a bit of home for many festival attendees. Even the weather got into the island spirit with a rainstorm followed by rainbows and humid temperatures — all common for Hawai‘i, but not so common here on the Ninth Island.
Here’s an entertainment update: For fans of classic rock, it doesn’t get more classic than iconic bands Jour- ney and KISS. Journey will perform its six-show residency at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Dec. 1-11; and Henderson resident Gene Simmons and his band
Shaquille O’Neal is hosting The Event on Oct. 2 at MGM Grand Are- na to benefit his foundation, which supports underserved youth. Expect performances by Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Imagine Dragons and Snoop Dogg.
