  Support Salvation Army’s Back-to-school Supply Drives

We also work closely with Envoy Gary Todd, who oversees The Salvation Ar- my’s Honoka‘a Corps, and Capts. Sam and Felicia LeMar, corps of- ficers for The Salvation Army’s Hilo Temple Corps.
ple Corps, located at 219 Pon- ahawai St., is collecting school supply donations until July 29. Donations can be dropped off 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. To drop off a donation, call 808-935- 1277. The Salvation Army Kona Corps, located at 75-223 Kalani St., is collecting back-to-school supplies until Aug. 14. Donations can be dropped off 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Our Hawai‘i Island social ser- vices programs include at-risk youth services and housing; food distribution and feeding programs; family thrift stores in Hilo, Hono- ka‘a and Kailua-Kona; homeless services; and religious services and programs. Last year in Hawai‘i, we provided over 1 million meals.
We all encourage our island communities to support our back- to-school supply drives to help keiki in need. With the cost of back-to-school items being out of reach for many Hawai‘i Island families, our goal is to help make sure each keiki has the supplies
