Roy Murai has been named vice president of investments for The Queen’s Health System. Born and raised in Kohala, he will be responsible for managing Queen’s diversified financial asset portfolio. Murai joined Queen’s as director of investments in 2014. Prior to that, he held leadership positions in finance and asset management. He also serves on the board of the Historic Hawai‘i Foundation.
April Nelson of Kona was Homebridge Financial Services Hawai‘i’s top producer for the month of July. Nelson has nearly 20 years of experience in personal real estate transactions, and five years of sales and customer service experience. Prior to joining Homebridge, she was an account manager at Grainger, and a VIP and group sales specialist for Hawai‘i Forest & Trail.
James McCully has been appointed to the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority’s board of directors. McCully has been an orchid breeder at Mauna Kea Orchids on Hawai‘i Island since 1976. He also specialized in real estate management — greenfield entitlements, subdivisions, land-use actions, public and private infrastructure development and conservation projects. He is a member of the American Orchid Society’s Hilo chapter.
