4 Roll out a medium log of Hearty Clay. Form three separate heart shapes for the top of the key. Press the three hearts together, matching the
pattern design.
5 Place the key length on top of the three hearts and press together. It is OK if the clay is a little
rough or uneven. It will give the key an antique look. Let dry.
7 Print out or hand- write the “Santa
Key”poem onto a sheet of paper. You can back it with cardstock as in the sample.
Trim both down to approximately 3 1/2 by 8 inches to roll into a scroll and fit next to the key. Cut and mat smaller if you are not making into a scroll.
8 To finish, tape or glue the poem
to the left side of the wood plaque. Glue the key to the right side of the poem. Or, you can add a hook or button/ peg to hang the key from. The sample uses a button made from Hearty Clay. Add any extra embellishment you want, such
as floral picks and/or ribbon.

Paint the dried key with the gold paint. Let dry.
